New exciting opportunity for a General Sales Manager / GSM to join our client’s dealer in Hertfordshire.

You need to be driven and ambitious with proven success.

General Sales Manager / GSM – responsibilities:

Lead and develop the Sales Executives within your team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
Serve as the primary liaison between the organisation and its current and prospective markets.
Provide guidance to Sales Executives during negotiation processes, assisting in finalising agreements and closing sales.
Collect and analyse market and customer data to identify opportunities and trends.
Collaborate with other managers to negotiate variations in pricing, delivery timelines, and product specifications.
Offer insights on upcoming product developments and coordinate special promotional initiatives.
Monitor stock levels and product displays, providing advice to Sales Executives to ensure effective inventory management.
Maintain close communication with the production team to monitor vehicle progress and act as a key contact throughout the process.
Regularly evaluate personal sales performance, striving to meet or surpass established targets.
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and their specific requirements to offer tailored solutions.
Facilitate the ongoing training and professional growth of Sales Executives within the team.
Conduct routine performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and encourage continuous improvement.

Proven expereince within a management role in the automotive sector
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering customer satisfaction and building loyalty.

Exceptional negotiation skills across various levels of the organisation.
Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
A keen eye for detail, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for outstanding customer service.
Solid understanding of industry trends and best practices.
Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
