The Role
We are currently looking for a Prep Technician / PDI Technician to join our client's team. Reporting into the workshop, you will be working as part of a team responsible for preparing new vehicles for several large fleet contracts. As a Prep Technician / PDI Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring customers can take delivery of their new vehicles and that delivery dates are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Liaising with the Workshop Manager about jobs
• Checking vehicle safety features
• Ensuring vehicles are correctly fuelled
• Carrying out tyre pressure checks
• Completing all PDI paperwork and checklists
• Vehicle test drives
• Oil, brake fluid and washer fluid checks and top-ups
• Number plate fitting
• Moving cars around the compound
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Mechanical qualifications
• MOT Testing licence desirable, although not essential
• Full UK driving licence
