The Role
Flame Recruitment is recruiting for a Diagnostic Technician with a main dealer group in Coventry. You’ll carry out thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and other components, using computerised diagnostic tools to read codes and analyse data for accurate fault-finding. You’ll perform repairs, adjustments and replacements from your findings, and support routine maintenance, including oil changes, wheel alignments and filter replacements. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00–5.00, plus one Saturday per month paid overtime 8.30–12.30.
Suited to an NVQ Level 3 technician with experience in a similar role, a full UK driving licence and own tools, this position rewards precise troubleshooting and steady workshop standards. What We're Looking For
• Conducting thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components to identify malfunctions
• Using computerized diagnostic tools to read error codes and analyse data for precise troubleshooting
• Performing repairs, adjustments, or replacements based on diagnostic findings
• Conducting routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, wheel alignments, and filter replacements to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Have NVQ level 3 in Motor Vehicle Repair or equivalent
• Have previous experience in a similar role
