The Role
Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new role with strong earning potential, great benefits and a clear route for progression? Or are you a qualified Car Technician ready to move into the HGV sector? If so, this could be a great opportunity to develop your skills with full in-house training and support. We’re looking for a motivated Technician to join a busy workshop in Sheffield, carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs, trailers and other commercial vehicles.
Salary: £17.64 – £21.50 per hour, equivalent to approximately £40,242 – £49,049 per year, plus overtime, bonus and excellent benefits
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Carry out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
• Complete routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose faults and agree repair plans with the workshop team
• Keep accurate repair, service and maintenance records
• Complete job cards, warranty paperwork and workshop documentation
• Support roadside repair work where required
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workshop
• Level 3 HGV, Light Vehicle or related automotive qualification
• Dealership, fleet, commercial vehicle or workshop experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop in the HGV sector
• Strong attention to safety, quality and accurate paperwork
• £17.64-£21.50/hr, approx £40,242-£49,049/year
• 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
