The Role
Join a main dealer group in Guildford as a Service Advisor, welcoming customers, understanding their maintenance needs and clearly explaining recommended work. You’ll book appointments, coordinate workshop flow and keep customers updated from drop-off to collection. Accuracy matters as you handle payments and maintain records, while working closely with technicians to ensure timely completion. You’ll also identify suitable add-on services that enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
This role suits an experienced Service Advisor with strong people skills, attention to detail and confidence in responsible upselling. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.30pm, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. The package offers £30k basic salary plus £3.5k OTE, alongside employee discount, life insurance and a pension.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Greet customers warmly and assess their service requirements.
• Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, ensuring customers understand the work being performed on their vehicles.
• Handle payments accurately and efficiently, maintaining a balanced account drawer.
• Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle performance or longevity.
• Schedule appointments and manage the workflow of service requests to optimise customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and follow-up communications.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while keeping customers informed throughout the process.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.
• Experience in upselling services or products is highly desirable.
