The Role
Flame Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy, friendly dealership in Bath. This is a varied, hands-on role combining servicing and mechanical repairs with diagnostic work, MOT duties and road testing. Working closely with the Service Team, you will identify faults, explain repair options and help ensure vehicles leave the workshop safe and working correctly.
If you hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent and enjoy solving problems in a workshop environment, this role offers the chance to put those skills to use across a range of vehicles. The package includes a £44,000 basic salary plus a £200 monthly bonus, with overtime available at 1.5 times the normal rate. The 40-hour week runs Monday to Friday, alongside benefits including a company pension, life insurance and a health and wellbeing programme.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Service, repair and MOT vehicles,
• Identifying problems with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Carrying out repairs and service work across the whole vehicle range
• Performing road tests to ensure repairs were successful and vehicles are functioning properly.
• Documenting services performed, parts used, and any issues found during inspections.
• Communicating with the Service Team or customers about vehicle issues and repair options.
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations
• Keeping up with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle, Maintenance & Repair or NVQ equivalent
• Previous experience in a busy high quality workshop environment
