The Role
Join a main dealer group in Colindale as a Vehicle Technician, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a variety of vehicles. You’ll diagnose faults, test and fix issues, replace parts and consumables with accurate recording, and work to manufacturer and franchise standards within set times. Keeping your workspace safe and tidy, you’ll also advise on current faults and future servicing needs.
This role suits an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) technician with a full UK driving licence and their own tools. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am–5.00pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays 9.00am–1.00pm. The package includes up to £55k basic (starting at £35k) plus bonus and benefits, 28 days’ holiday, a workplace pension, staff discounts, career opportunities and company events.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements.
• Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
