The Role
Join a professional workshop in Harlow as a Vehicle Technician handling maintenance, repairs and diagnostics across a range of vehicles, including electric vehicles and high-voltage systems. Your day-to-day will include inspections, fault-finding from schematics, engine rebuilds, assembly and disassembly, occasional welding, and safe use of hand and power tools. You’ll keep a tidy, compliant workspace and manage heavier tasks with correct techniques.
This role suits an experienced Technician with strong mechanical know-how, a Full UK driving licence and, ideally, Level 3 or equivalent. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00–6:00. What We're Looking For
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
• Rebuilding engines.

• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, identifying any mechanical issues or necessary repairs.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in diagnosing problems accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Occasionally engage in welding tasks as needed for vehicle repairs.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is necessary.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues effectively.
• Full UK DL
• Ideally be qualified to a level 3 or equivalent
