The Role
Join a main dealer group in Oxford as a Vehicle Technician, carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a range of vehicles to franchise and company standards. Working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll complete work within manufacturer times, replace components and consumables accurately, test vehicles and report on faults, and keep your bay safe and tidy. You’ll also flag forthcoming maintenance needs to support clear, customer-focused service.
Suited to an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) technician with at least two years’ franchise-dealership experience, strong customer service and pride in output. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00–17:00 with 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00–12:00. Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times to meet company and franchise standards.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose their faults as and when required by Service Manager and supervisory staff.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Carry out work completely and effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements while working on vehicles, including future servicing/repair requirements.
• Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
• Have at least 2 years experience after qualifying period, of working in a Franchise Dealership (or similar).
• Excellent customer service skills.
