The Role
Our client is an independent workshop in Essex. They require a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for their busy organisation.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs or upgrades.
• Rebuilding engines.
• work on electrical vehicles.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, identifying any mechanical issues or necessary repairs.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in diagnosing problems accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Occasionally engage in welding tasks as needed for vehicle repairs.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is necessary.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to perform heavy lifting as part of the job responsibilities.
• A valid driving license is advantageous but not mandatory.
