The Role
Join an independent automotive business in Romford, Greater London as Workshop Manager, leading the front-of-house flow for the bodyshop. You’ll greet customers, arrange appointments, prepare job cards in advance and keep detailed records. Acting as the primary link between customers and the workshop, you’ll explain any additional work with costs, provide progress updates at regular intervals, prepare invoices, and follow up after visits while handling any concerns professionally.
This role suits someone with previous motor trade experience who’s happy in an all‑rounder position, confident across face‑to‑face and digital communication, and holding a Full UK DL. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00–5:00, with a salary of 50k plus benefits, including 20 days’ holiday plus statutory, sick leave and a pension scheme—offering a stable, customer‑centred role in a busy workshop.
Key Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
• Based front of house, meeting and greeting customers
• Prepare job cards the day before the customer appointment.
• Arrange appointments for customers.
• Customer interaction mainly face to face and via the various communication channels.
• Maintain detailed records of each service visit on the job card.
• Advise customers of any additional work required with costs.
• Be the primary point of contact between customers and the workshop.
• Deliver outstanding customer experience.
• Update customers of progress made at least every 4 hours.
• Prepare customer invoices ready for payment.
• Contact the customers post appointment to ensure they are happy.
• Handle customer concerns and address complaints.
• Previous motor trade experience
• Be happy to do a all-rounder type role
